Shirley Yee

Founding Partner

Ms. Shirley Yee was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1987. She holds a LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a B.E.S. from the University of Waterloo and is the founder of Shirley Yee Professional Corporation. 

Ms. Yee has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate and business transactions, Wills and Estates and Family Trusts. 

Ms. Yee has represented clients for the purchase and sale of multi-tenanted plazas, the purchase of car dealerships, medical and dental practices, development lands, e-commerce start-ups and financing including SAFEs.

Ms. Yee can provide services in Cantonese and Toi Shan dialect.

Ernest Woo

Junior Partner

Mr. Ernest Woo, our Junior Partner, was called to the Bar of Ontario in June, 2016 He holds a LL.B from King’s College London. He has been a member of our team since September 2016.

Mr. Woo has extensive experience in real estate transactions including the purchase, sale, and financing of multi-residential, office, retirement home, life lease, retail and agricultural businesses (including cannabis operations).

Mr. Woo also advises on commercial lease agreements.

Mr. Woo also provides advice for the purchase, sale and incorporation of businesses (e-commerce and tech start-ups) including advice on complex corporate/commercial arrangements such as shareholder agreements, limited partnerships and joint ventures.

Mr. Woo also holds a Certificate in Cannabis Law and Regulation from York Osgoode Hall Law School.

Crystal Chen

Ms. Crystal Chen was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2020 and the Bar of China in 2011. She holds LL.M. in Canadian Common Law, Osgoode Hall Law School and LL.M. in International Trade Law, University of Toronto. She gained experience as a real estate assistant from 2013 and became a member of our team in 2019. 

Ms. Chen has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions, private financing, corporate/commercial law (limited partnerships, shareholder agreements, and share transfers).

Cheyenne Yan

Ms. Cheyenne Yan was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2020. She holds LL.M. in Canadian Common Law, Osgoode Hall Law School and LL.M. in International Business Law, Osgoode Hall Law School. She has been a member of our team since 2013.

Ms. Yan has extensive experience in corporate/commercial law, commercial leasing, acquisition and sales of various types of businesses (restaurants, pharmacies, franchises), wills and estates and court applications for appointment of estate trustees.
